buddy.college is a map-first app that turns your campus into a live activity radar โ so finding people to play with is instant, local, and spontaneous again.
Spontaneity in recreational sports is broken. Organizing a casual game means reviving a dead group chat or scheduling days in advance. By the time plans come together, the moment's gone โ so people default to staying indoors.
The courts are there. The players are there. The coordination is what's missing.
buddy.college turns the map into a live radar for who's ready to play, right now, right near you.
One tap tells nearby players you're ready for a game, a run, or a hit.
See real-time players and sport badges on a clean, map-first view.
Match, meet at the spot, and rate each other after โ so it stays great.
Spontaneous doesn't mean sketchy. Safety is designed in from the first tap.
.edu verification and trust badges, so you know who you're meeting.
A dedicated mode for women-only games and sessions.
Post-match ratings keep the community reliable and welcoming.
Activity stays local to your campus and the people on it.
Whatever your campus is into.
buddy.college started as a project called DropIn, built at the Google AI Studio Hackathon by two ESSEC Business School students at UC Berkeley. The idea was simple: make it effortless to find a game on campus the second you feel like playing.
It resonated โ so we bought buddy.college and we're building it for real, campus by campus.
We're launching at pilot campuses soon. Get on the waitlist and we'll tell you the moment it's live.
